ASBESTORS PROCEDURE

Safety Precautions

        Remove worker from work area
        Remove impervious overall
        Cool them down
        Give them 500ml of water to drink
        Get the person to a doctor
        Check other workers for the symptoms


Specific Procedures

        All general precautions to be followed
        It is important to remove asbestos waste from the work area and transport to the disposal bin without any spills, leaks or transfer of
         contamination
        All materials to be double bagged
        All bags to be clearly labeled
        All materials to be stockpiled after bagging to ensure material is transported all in the same time period
        Wheelbarrows used for transportation not to be allowed in contaminated areas
        Bagged materials to be loaded into wheelbarrows
        Materials to be transported to the disposal bin by nearest route
        Materials to be carefully loaded into disposal bin to prevent bag breakage
        Bin to be transported to an approved EPA disposal site
