INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA                          11 NOVEMBER 2014



These 12 services equate to 20,789 hours of service delivery provided to clients through Noosa
Community Care. Compared to the same period last year we have delivered an extra 2,470
hours of service to our clients in this quarter. A large proportion of this increase is due to our
newly established Horticultural Therapy program.

These services equate to 934 hours of service delivery provided to clients through Noosa Home
Assist Secure.


3.     People
Greg Tucker was appointed as Noosa Community Care Coordinator after the position was
advertised both internally and externally. Greg has been acting Coordinator since the resignation
of long term Respite Centre Coordinator Helene Tedford. Two staff members have obtained
competencies in Certificate II Nail Technology. This now ensures that clients can have pedicures
with qualified staff that will refer them to the Podiatrist when required. The outcome of this
ensures a more sustainable Allied Health budget to meet required outputs.


4.     Systems & Processes

On 22 July 2014 Council approved the name change from Noosa Day Respite Centre to Noosa
Community Care to better reflect the range of services now available.


5.     Future Direction
     Increased development of the Horticultural Therapy program.
     Noosa Community Care rebranding.
     Development of Business Plan (including marketing strategy).
     Finalise Noosa Community Care staffing structure and position descriptions.
