I am currently compiling a response which I will lodge with Council next week. Luke and Trevor had hoped to get copies of noise assessments that other parties claim to have so that they can better understand why their own professionally compiled noise report is apparently being questioned. But then again they have not been formally advised of any issues with their report. They both find this very unfair and they are having trouble accepting that aspect. Luke and Trevor did investigate covering the outdoor area but it is not an option. Trevor and Luke have had liaison with the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast offices Qld OLGR and some information on this liaison with be provided in the response. The response will provide some new information and confirm those conditions that they can accept and those conditions that they request to be amended and some additions to conditions that they are offering. Obviously the critical recommended condition will remain the inability to open after 10 pm from Sunday to Thursday which they claim that if included in Council's approval will mean their current business model will not remain viable. I hope that this provides a suitable update. regards Greg Martoo 0409632830 Sent by iPhone On 15 Apr 2016, at 11:11 AM, Denis Wallace <[email protected]> wrote: Hi Greg, Could I get an update on the VB from you please? I will chase them up again today. Just writing to give you an update of progress we have made this last week. - we have written to the landlords asking for permission to possibly construct some kind of enclosure at the premises. We have just heard back from the real estate that they have not been able to contact the owners. Will keep you posted when we do. - we have also spoken to Julia Jarvis at OLGR about there being a problem with our acoustic report. This was news to her and she didn't know anything about there being any issues with it?? She has contacted head office in Brisbane to get to the bottom of it. - Sasho at ATP consulting was also unaware of there being any issues with his report either. - Mathew Jones our Liquor Licensing Specialist from Brisbane is also chasing this up and it was also news to him. Once we hear back from all of the above parties we will give you an update. kind regards Luke On Wed, Feb 17, 2016 at 1:08 PM, Denis Wallace <[email protected] <javascript:_e(%7B%7D,'cvml','[email protected]');> > wrote: Luke / Trevor, The decision will ultimately be for the Councillors to decide. But yes, our advice is that a properly designed acoustic enclosure of the outdoor area would allow us to support the 7 day midnight trading. We are in the process of contacting the owners of our building for permission to possibly build/ enclose the northern side of the outdoor area adjacent to bottlebrush ave. Just to clarify if we can construct something that both satisfies Noosa Council and the landlords, will this enable us to continue to trade until midnight 7 days a week? As we mentioned the landlord is quite elderly so this has to go through a few sets of hands before they will give us a decision but hopefully it will be quite prompt. Kind regards Luke and Trevor
