Item 10 - Internal Intersections
Demonstrate that vehicles can pass at the intersections within the carparking area. The vehicle type and
paths must be in accordance with AS/NZS2890.1:2004 section 2.5.2(c). The paths must consider that all
adjacent spaces are occupied including the MRV loading area.
Response
As per the original traffic report, all internal circulation and parking aisles (all 6.2m wide) are in accordance
AS2890.1 (2004) design requirements.
Halcrow have applied the turn path analysis software AutoTURN to the proposed development layout in order
to further analyse the adequacy of car turn paths, for B85 and B99 design vehicles, within the car parking
area's two-way circulating aisles and parking aisles. The turn path analysis demonstrates that cars are able
to manoeuvre through the parking aisles in a safe and efficient manner. The car turn path diagram is
presented in Figure 2.
