1 Adopt and initiate implementation of Environment Director Environment & Sustainable Community workshops undertaken on 23/7/18 and 26/7/18 and Your Say On track ©
Strategy Development Noosa feedback received, as a prelude to drafting content. Draft currently
being prepared and will be workshopped with Councillors on 1/11/18.
2 Finalise contracts for Yurol & Ringtail Forest Chief Executive Officer Contracts finalised. Transition Committee established and first meeting held On track QO
enviommental project and establish Transition Committee on 12 September 2018. Official launch scheduled for 7 November 2018.
3 Adopt and initiate implementation of Noosa River Director Environment & Sustainable Draft River Plan endorsed by Council for community consultation at Ordinary On track QO
Management Plan Development meeting on 19/7/18. Consultation on the draft undertaken from 20/7/18 to
26/8/18 with significant level of engagement and response. Responses
currently being assessed.
4 Continue implementation of Zero Emissions Action Plan Environmental Services Manager Installation of solar electricity on Council buildings is on time and budget. On track @
and review the Zero Emissions Noosa Strategy Community Emissions Profile completed. Science based targets determined.
Plan for community emission reductions commenced.
5 Implementation of Council's Zero Waste Strategy Director Environment & Sustainable Internal cross organisational Working Group established to explore the scope On track oO
- initiate plastic free for Council business operations Development and consider opportunities and impacts for Council business.
6 Implementation of State government Waste Levy Waste and Environmental Health Preparations underway and costings being developed for the On track QO
Manager commencement of the State Government Waste Levy in March 2019.
