          Overview

          Council received over 260 responses to our request for feedback on the draft Cycling and Walking
          Strategy and Implementation Plan. Overall the feedback received was positive and supportive of the
          Strategy and Implementation Plan. The majority of detailed comments received related to suggestions
          to the network plans and priorities, as well as requesting improvement to aspects such as pathway
          conflicts, crossings, supporting infrastructure and non-infrastructure solutions. The following table
          provides an overall summary of the feedback received.

          Residents supported the direction of the NCWSIP. The top three actions identified by the community
          to encourage more bike riding and walking across the Shire were:
            e   more off-road paths and bike ways
            e   more separated bike riding paths
            e   better connections between paths and shops.
