            3           Item 5 - Sight Distance for External Intersection
            Provide detail demonstrating the available sight distances about the Lake MacDonald/Hoy Road intersection. The
            detail must be prepared by a suitably qualified person (RPEQ) and include, but not be limited to:

                 a) a layout plan and longitudinal sections demonstrating that 157 metres of unbroken sight distance is
                    available to the right (north);
                 b) a layout plan and longitudinal sections demonstrating the available unbroken sight distance to the left
                    (south); and
                 c) the extent of works required to achieve compliant sight distances to the left (south).

            Modus Response
            The sight distance assessment undertaken by Modus for the Lake MacDonald / Hoy Road intersection indicated
            that clearing was required to provide adequate sight lines in accordance with Austroads extended design domain
            (EDD). A sight distance drawing has been prepared for the Lake MacDonald / Hoy Road intersection in Appendix
            B. The sight distance drawing illustrates that sufficient sight distance is achievable to the north and clearing is
            required to achieve sight lines to the south. This has been highlighted on the sight distance drawing in magenta
            as area required to be cleared.

            It is noted that no elevation data is available for the Lake MacDonald / Hoy Road intersection at the time of writing.
            It is expected that a survey of the road centreline will be completed as part of the detailed design phase and will
            confirm the sight distance assessment.
