SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 7 AUGUST 2018

 Develop Climate Change Adaption Plan and actions (Stage 1)
This project is slightly behind schedule due to a lack of clarity from the State government
regarding the specific format of reporting. Stakeholder engagement is complete. The delay by
the State government is not just related to the Noosa project but also other funded projects
   across the State.
 Commence implementation of priority actions from Council's Transport Strategy
This is a major project with significant complexity. However, it is also fair to say that we are
not as far advanced with the implementation of the Transport Strategy by this time as we
would have liked. It is anticipated that our new project manager will add impetus in coming
   months.
 Develop a master plan for the Tewantin administration building
This project has been delayed due to other more critical priorities. However, a project
management plan has now been prepared and a working group comprising representatives
from different Council departments has been established to oversee the development of a
new master plan for the main Council building. This project will continue in the coming
   months.
 Continue TechnologyOne CI Anywhere transition including core enterprise suite
conversion and planning for property and compliance transition
This is another major and complex project changing many of our core ICT modules. It is
behind anticipated timing due to delays by our software provider to supply acceptable
transition plans and change management methodologies. Various staff are working through
core modules looking at the impact on business practices, workflow etc.

The table below highlights some specific Operational Plan issues that may be of interest to
Council.

Service Level reviews The majority of “external services” (in addition to some internal services)
have been finalised and were adopted by Council as part of the 2018/19
                                  budget process.

2. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

As Council would be aware, KPIs were first developed for our organisation at the beginning of
2014/15. Approximately 30 management KPIs were developed and these are reviewed on a
monthly basis by Council’s Executive Team. Approximately 15 of those KPIs are reported to
Council on a quarterly basis. They are also reported to the Audit & Risk Committee in detail at
each Audit & Risk Committee meeting.
