SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 7 AUGUST 2018

A new group fitness timetable was introduced in January, incorporating yoga classes back into
the NLC program following the cessation of the outsourced Noosa Yoga School in December
2017.

Following the recommendation from the NLC service review to provide a greater range of
programs on offer to the community, a new junior learn to play program (Noosa Fit Kids) was
introduced in January. Attendance numbers will continue to be monitored to determine whether
this program represents a viable ongoing offering.

Pickleball, a new sport for NLC, was introduced to the centre’s sport program in January also. A
combination of table tennis, badminton and tennis, this new activity has been well received by
both existing and new patrons alike.

5. FUTURE DIRECTION

 NLC will investigate viable options for replacing single use items throughout the centre with
eco-friendly products. This includes café items such as straws, plastic cutlery, sandwich
containers and sanitary items such as toilet paper and hand towels.

 Following a recommendation from the NLC service review, NLC will further explore the
viability of utilising the outside compound area to accommodate small group training, either
run by NLC or hired out to an external operator.

 An upgrade of the stadium skylight panels via the capital works program will be
       implemented in Q1 2018/19.

 The NLC will continue to trial and review new initiatives throughout 2018/19 to aid the
centre’s financial performance and boost visitation.
