1.3 Site Inspections and Survey Methodology
Gondwana Ecology Group has completed several inspections to assist in assessing the overall
ecological values of the subject land, including:

     •    28 October 2017 (preliminary site inspections, threatened species searches)
     •    29 January 2018 (detailed flora survey and target threatened species surveys) 1
     •    19 September 2020 (threatened species surveys)
     •    6-7 October 2020 (detailed tree survey and threatened species surveys)

All survey effort has focussed on the northern part of the land i.e. between the tennis courts and
Resort Road with targeted surveys for koala and glossy black-cockatoo also in the east. These are the
areas either identified by Council as important or considered to have some ecological value due to the
“semi-natural” condition. The balance land supports car parking, tennis courts, buildings (tennis
centre, golf and spa resort) and other ancillary infrastructure.


1.4 Structure and Attachments to this Report
For ease of reference, the key sections of the report are set out as follows:

     •    Section 2. Matters of Environmental Significance – Desktop {a background/desktop analysis
          of relevant Commonwealth, State and local government mapping and databases}.
     •    Section 3. Site Ecological Values – Flora & Vegetation {description of site’s vegetation
          communities and flora lists} and Fauna & Habitats {description of site’s fauna, habitats and
          koala habitat trees}.
     •    Section 4. Development Plan, Potential Impacts and Management Recommendations
          {consideration of potential impacts associated with the project and recommendations to
          manage/mitigate where necessary}.

provide further and comprehensive understanding of the ecological values and the assessment, as
follows:
