Noosa Shire Council
Guiding Principles for Sealing Gravel Roads
4.3. Review & Improvements
With ongoing improvement of data collection on our road network it is expected that this will improve the
knowledge and understanding of the operational influences on the gravel road network. As a result, regular
reviews of the gravel road guiding principles every 3-5 years should be undertaken to ensure prioritisation
is relevant to any changes in the road network.
Other specific improvements include;
e Development of a low order road design
e Use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) trial
These specific improvements will be facilitated by the road infrastructure working group and endorsed by
the asset management steering committee prior to any changes to the priority program being presented to
Council for approval.
