2.   Completed Projects

A major milestone for Noosa Council was the delivery of $26.1m of capital works in a single
financial year. This a significant achievement and demonstrates that Council has matured in
delivering a large capital works program consistently particularly with the 2017/18 also delivering
$27.8m. The capital works framework that has project control groups and a capital works
executive, have continued with organisational efficiencies and enabled staff and Councillors to
make informed decisions that relate to projects that are delivered throughout the year. This is
aided by having valuable resources within the design and delivery teams.

Some of the major projects completed across the capital program throughout 2018/19 include:

   Noosaville Library Refurbishment $1.3m
   Cooroy, Mary River Road Bridge replacement $1.7m
   Old Noosa Road Bridge replacement $1.1m
   Noosa Heads, Park Road Boardwalk $5.3m

In addition to the above-mentioned completed projects, delivery of the 2018/19 road reseal
program of approximately $3.8m was completed across both coastal and hinterland sealed road
networks.
