Consultation

External Consultation - Community & Stakeholder

Sunbus - Thanked Council and expressed appreciation for Council’s support.

Passenger Assistant – Dave was very busy and although he was scheduled to work 9:30-
4:00pm, he worked through his lunch break and didn’t get away until after 4:30pm. He
received feedback that it would be beneficial to have a passenger assistant all week, not just
on the week-ends and public holidays. Dave is involved in passenger transport for the Noosa
Triathlon and suggested that during the Free Holiday Buses, as is the case for the Noosa
Tri, there be a shuttle from Noosa Heads to Noosa Junction as this alleviates the amount of
traffic coming into Noosa Heads and ensures that Sunbus services run on time. Due to the
traffic congestion on Noosa Parade, some of the bus services were running up to 35-40mins
behind schedule.

Tewantin Noosa Heads Lions Club – Feedback regarding running of the car park.

Free Holiday Buses Survey – refer to report section 5. Feedback Survey

Internal Consultation

Works Superintendent, Fred Spinks – Traffic Control and Noosa Heads Lions Park.

Fred has been involved in traffic control over the Christmas period for many years and
expressed that this year the traffic was particularly bad and even if he had 10 traffic
controllers it wouldn’t have made any difference.

Management Accountant, Claudia Barnes – Free Holiday Buses Budget.
