The Foreshore Master Plan will now recommend the proposed off-leash area be unfenced and repositioned
from the indicative location in the Draft Foreshore Master Plan. It is recommended the off-leash area be
located on the western side of Chaplin Park, bordered by the drainage line. The area will be clearly
designated through appropriate signage. The placement of the off-leash area on the western part of the
park allows for a clear separation of land uses.
The Foreshore Master Plan will recommend a one-year trial of the off-leash area, with regular monitoring to
ensure the area can be suitably managed and any impacts are acceptable.
