We hereby submit a request to extend the relevant period of a development approval at 30 Beach Road, Noosa North Shore.  The approval is commonly referred to as Beach Road Retreats Stage 1 and the Council reference is 132007.742.04.

In support of this request, please find attached the following:

§  Cover letter setting out the requested extension

§  Completed Council form

§  Owner’s consent

§  Copy of current approval conditions

§  Copy of letter to SARA (concurrence agency at the time was DNRW and their reference is 2007/005:305754).

Please note, another request is also being submitted today for the separate development approval for Stage 2.  Whilst there are two separate requests, we are asking Council to agree to a total application fee of $2,303 for the following reasons:

§  Both approvals are very similar in terms of content and issues with the primary difference being that Stage 1 is a development permit and Stage 2 is a preliminary approval

§  The concurrent lodgement allows Council to consider these matters at the same time, and therefore provides a resource efficiency

§  In the event they had been advanced as one application, the total fee would have been $2,303
