Special Meeting Minutes, 10 July 2020, Item 1, Page 2
That Council note the report by the Chief Executive Officer to the Special Meeting dated 10 July
2020 and pursuant to section 174 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, adopt for the 2020/21
financial year its annual Operational Plan 2020/21, provided as Attachment 1 to the report.
Finance
The operational plan is implemented via the resources allocated through the 2021/22 Council
budget. It is adopted as part of the suite of documents that make up the Council budget package.
Risks & Opportunities
A well-structured Operational Plan provides Council with a clear outline of its priorities for the
2021/22 financial year. It also provides an opportunity for Council to receive quarterly reports from
the Chief Executive Officer regarding progress in achieving those outcomes. The improved format
will assist in that regard.
