7.          DRAINAGE

7.1.        GENERAL SPECIFICATION
All drainage grates to be lockable.

All bends or curves of drainage channels to be built with a mitre cut at the end of each channel.

All grates to be heel safe with a max. slot width of 7mm.

All grates to be compliant with the slip resistant requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC) and
Australian Standards AS/NZS 4586 2013, AS HB 198 2014.

All grates to meet the wheelchair and walking cane safety requirements as per AS 1428.2

All grates to be flush with adjacent floor finishes.

All sizes have to be approved by a hydraulic engineer and approved calculations.

Load classifications are specified as per AS 3996.
