SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 10 MAY 2016
In mid 2015 line marking occurred at Diyan Street, Tewantin and two E-Station Cir Control
Combination fast chargers were purchased. The chargers are currently stored at the
Noosaville depot.
The electric buses were to be manufactured in the UK, however, ongoing delays and
technical issues with the air conditioning system resulted in Patico not being able to meet the
December 2015 delivery date specified in the lease agreement; the agreement was formally
terminated in January 2016.
In late 2015, the Leadership Team confirmed Noosa Council’s commitment to continue a
joint electric bus trial with TransLink on Sunbus route 627, with the six month trial due to
commence in late 2016.
Inviting new tenders has provided an opportunity to test the market again in an industry with
rapidly changing technology and significant advances over the past 12 months. In addition,
TransLink is supportive of Council’s proposal to test the market utilising a satellite depot
operation based either at the Council depot or a suitable site elsewhere in the Noosa area.

buses on Route 627 opened March 7th 2016 and closed on April 5th 2016. The tender was
