F. Media Engagement Protocol – Councillor;
G. Public Art Policy;

I. Strategic Discussion Forums.
REPORT
Pursuant to the Local Government (De-amalgamation Implementation) Regulation 2013, all
Council Level and Organisational Level Policies and Procedures of the Sunshine Coast Regional
Council (SCRC) were transferred to Noosa Council upon de-amalgamation in January 2014.
Over the past 2 years, the majority of Council Level Policies transferred to Noosa Council from
SCRC have been repealed by Council and replaced with a more relevant Noosa Council Policies.
Whilst Organisational Level Policies and Procedures transferred from SCRC were able to be
repealed and replaced under the authority of the CEO, for Council Level Policies transferred, it
was recommended by the Department of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning that
these be formally repealed by Council to ensure that is no confusion or potential argument that
the Policies remain in force.
The purpose of this report is to formally repeal the majority of the remaining SCRC Council Level
Policies that were reviewed by the Leadership Team and the former Mayor in January 2016. For
various reasons these policies have been confirmed as not required in Council Level Policy form
for Noosa Council operations.
