Policy name Recommendation
Compliance and Enforcement Policy Retain policy and replace with a Noosa Policy.
Cultural Development Policy Retain policy until Council’s Cultural Strategy has been
developed.
Heritage Levy Policy Retain policy and replace with a Noosa Policy.
Previous Council Consideration
Council previously undertook a review of remaining SCRC Policies and repealed a number of
those policies at the Ordinary Meeting held 30 July 2015.
Finance & Risk
There is a risk that failing to repeal the Policies requested leaves Council exposed to a position
that the relevant policies remain in force and therefore, Council’s actions and operations must
remain aligned those requirements. Having Policies in place that do not align to operational
practices also expose the organisational to reputational risks and potential complaints.
