Thank you for your email regarding a sub-lease opportunity on Lot 500 CP885200, David Road Cootharaba (Boreen
Point Rural Fire Brigade).

The Department of Community Safety, Queensland Fire and Rescue Service have been granted a lease for this site
for fire brigade purposes. The conditions of lease prohibit any other activity and the rent paid is a concessional rate
based on the lease purpose.

I have contacted the Department of Natural Resources and Mines and have been advised we are not allowed to enter
into a sub-lease without their consent and based on the lease purpose it is highly unlikely it would be granted. The
QFRS is not willing to change the purpose of lease which could impact on the rental paid to enter into a sub-lease.

Therefore, the QFRS is unable to support you proposal and is declining the sub-lease at L500 CP885200, Davis
Road, Cootharaba.
