28 Eenie Creek Road, Noosaville and parts of the road reserves of Hofmann Drive and Walter Hay Drive

 Development Permit for Operational Work (interfering with quarry material on
State coastal land above high water mark within a Coastal Management
                                      District)
 Level of Assessment Impact Assessment
Proposal Summary The proposed development involves an expansion of Noosa Civic to the east of the
existing centre. The expansion will be anchored by two (2) supermarkets and a discount
                            department store.
The expansion involves 22,870m2 GLA of additional and reconfigured retail floor space
and 9,655m2 GFA of mall and back of house area. The proposal involves an additional
1,000 car parking spaces located at ground and undercroft levels.
Access to the proposal is provided by way of a new internal access road to the east and
an extension of Hofmann Drive to the south. Works are required in the road reserve of part
of Hofmann Drive and Walter Hay Drive to connect the proposed internal road works to
                            the external road network.
A key feature of the proposal is the inclusion of a pedestrian link across Covenant J. The
pedestrian link provides connectivity between the east (proposed expansion) and west
(existing centre) sections of Noosa Civic.
A landscaped arbour is also proposed along the exterior of the existing centre to improve
and soften the interface with the existing car park.
Clearing of existing on-site vegetation is also proposed as part of the development.
Further detail is shown in Appendix B – Architectural Drawings and Architectural
Design Report and Appendix P – Arbour Architectural Drawings.
