Probable Solution is not provided. The proposal therefore achieves compliance with all Specific Outcomes and
the Water Sensitive Design Code as a whole.
6.7.16 Water Supply and Sewerage Reticulation Code
The proposed development achieves compliance, or can achieve compliance, with most of the applicable

6.8 Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Guidelines for
Queensland
The Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Guidelines for Queensland provide a range
of key planning and design principles which are intended to guide private and public development to maximise
safety and crime prevention within urban environments.
Part A outlines the key principles underpinning the CPTED concept. Of particular relevance to the proposed
development are:
the overarching principles and actions provided in Chapter 3;
the specific principles and actions applying to the design of buildings provided in Chapter 6, Part 2;
and
the specific principles and actions applying to the design of centres provided in Chapter 6, Part 4.
A detailed response to the relevant principles and actions of the CPTED guidelines is provided in Appendix
A.
In order to provide a response to the principles and actions, the actions have been taken to provide a way of
achieving each corresponding principle. The below sections provide a summary of the proposal’s compliance
with these provisions.
6.8.1 Important Principles and Guiding Ideas
