4.2.1.     Further Advice
Noosa Shire Council issued a request for further advice dated 19 December 2024 in relation to the
development application. The request for further advice noted that Council’s peer review of the RHDHV
(2024) requested a recalculation of the Erosion Prone Area using a storm tide level of 1.79m AHD within
the Vellinga equation for the design storm event component (C), to offset uncertainty regarding findings of
the Aurecon (2013) study, and update the coastal hazard assessment report accordingly.

Section 6 of this Report has been updated to present a revised assessment of the Erosion Prone Area
based on a storm tide level of 1.79m AHD. It should be noted that a level of 1.79m AHD corresponds to
approximately a 300-year ARI event based on the storm tide levels reported in Section 5.1.3.
