4.2.     Noosa Plan 2020
The proposed development is code assessable and is subject to the Coastal Protection and Scenic Amenity
Overlay of the Noosa Plan 2020. Table 4-1 outlines the relevant assessment criteria for the Coastal
Protection and Scenic Amenity Overlay which this coastal hazard assessment must address.

The assessment reported herein provides a site-specific assessment of erosion hazard risk, including a
site-specific assessment of the erosion prone area width and an assessment of the beach erosion likely to
occur due to an extreme storm event. Accordingly, it provides an estimate of erosion vulnerability along
this section of beach and will be used to address the assessment criteria considered by Noosa Shire
Council. It should be noted that that the reported erosion prone area is an estimate of erosion vulnerability.

For this development application, an extreme event consisting of; a 100-year ARI storm tide level, sea level
rise of 0.8m and a 100-year ARI significant wave height has been adopted.
