Noosaville Mainstreet Precinct
(3) The following overall outcomes apply to the Noosaville Mainstreet Precinct and are additional to the overall outcomes of District
Centre zone:
(a) Development is fine grained and the built form creates a mainstreet environment with high quality design and are
active at ground floor level;
(b) Development provides mixed use buildings with ground floor business uses and residential small dwellings above;
(c) Business uses have a small floor plate and service local residents, the broader community, as well as visitors;
Mary Street/Thomas Street Health and Wellbeing Precinct
(4) The following overall outcomes apply to the Mary Street/Thomas Street Health and Wellbeing Precinct and are
additional to the overall outcomes of the District centre zone;
(a) Development accommodates health and wellbeing uses including allied health, natural therapy consultants,
specialist services and professional offices that support and complement medical uses at the corner
of Goodchap Street, EumundiNoosa Road and at the Noosa Hospital.
(b) Lowcost accommodation may be located at 1416 Mary Street, Noosaville.
(c) Small dwellings may be developed in conjunction with a nonresidential use in a mixeduse format.
(d) Development does not generate large volumes of traffic or require significant customer parking.
(e) Buildings are of a domestic scale and form.
Doonella Street Precinct
(5) The following overall outcomes apply to the Doonella Street Precinct and are additional to the overall outcomes of the District
centre zone;
(a) Residential development incorporates housing choice by providing small dwellings, accessible housing and
affordable rental premises.
(b) Business development is compatible with residential living and does not include retail uses that rely on active
street fronts
(c) Vehicular access to Doonella Street is limited with shared driveways and through block circulation, taking
advantage of Sidoni Lane.
Acceptable outcomes are provided for some, but not all, performance outcomes, and identify ways in which
performance outcomes can be met. Compliance with the performance outcome should be demonstrated and the
acceptable outcomes are considered as one way to satisfy the corresponding performance outcome.
