The following perspectives provide a flavour of this intent and recognises that Noosa Marketplace
seeks a significant role in the development of local economies. The development seeks to contribute
to the social fabric of Noosa’s ‘maker’ communities with appealing small-scale common areas,
covered walkways and connected footpaths that support the cornerstone activities of trading, dealing,
and buying goods or services.
The new buildings are generally low rise (except the Gateway Building 4) with well-articulated
interesting façades that combine lightweight building materials, subtle signage and colours, and
include a variety in roof forms and geometry. The proposal respects the scale and character of the
streetscape and surrounding development in the Shire Business Centre.
