For the six proposed six (6) lots three (3) visitor parking bays will be required. These will be
located within the 6m wide driveway easement as shown on Figure 2 below. Parking bays are
2.1m wide with an aisle width of 3.6m (one way). Two (2) bays will be unobstructed end spaces
and one (1) will be an intermediate space sized in accordance with Figure 2.5 AS2890.1: 2004
(refer table above). The total length of parking spaces required is 16.7m. These have been
located between two potential locations for driveway accesses to Lots 713 and 714 and on the
opposite side of the accessway to allow unencumbered access to the bin bays for the refuse
collection and so as not to obstruct sight lines from the properties. A 0.3m offset has been
allowed for clearance to any obstruction (vegetation) >0.3m in height between the parking bay
and the driveway easement boundary.
Bin Pad Storage Locations
Bin pad storage locations (2m x 1m) for two bins have been identified on the Figure 2 below.
The locations are readily accessible for the refuse collection truck and property driveways.
The refuse vehicle will access the site from David Low Way and utilise the turning head at Lots
711 and 712 to exit the site on the same path. All refuse bins will be accessible to the refuse
truck on its exit path from the development along the driveway.
The turning head has been sized using Brisbane City Council Standard Detail Drawing BSD-3001
for an Offset T Head arrangement for residential streets.
