A site inspection of the property from which the overlooking concerns have been raised has
been undertaken. This inspection confirmed that the northern extent of the rooftop terrace
has the potential to overlook the private open space of this property. The following image
details the private open space which should be protected from overlooking.
Figure 8 – Private open space to be protected
Whilst a 1.0-metre-wide planter and 1.4-metre-high screen is proposed to the northern
elevation of the terrace it will not sufficiently obscure views. This type of screening may
impede views looking directly down from the rooftop terrace however a 1.4-metre-high
screen will still enable views into the expansive private open space area of the property at
68 Seaview Terrace.
