Environmental Health officers have responsibility for any public health notifications regarding

Possible funding options and opportunities from Unitywater, State and Federal
governments for long-term integrated catchment and coastal management and
   infrastructure solutions
As mentioned, Council is working with Unitywater on the development and implementation
of Unitywater’s Water Matters Plan. Review of stormwater management will be an important
step for Council in its implementation. The Water Matters Implementation Plan is currently
under discussion for co-investment by Unitywater and Council, and community engagement
   a necessary input into this.
There are several funding tranches available from the Queensland Reconstruction Authority
for flood recovery activities, as well as other natural resource management funding. Council
will continue to explore funding opportunities through the State and Federal Government.
Environment Services has been approached by an external provider to apply for a $50,000
Feasibility Study grant, which would provide an overview of Noosa’s stormwater assets and
their role in mitigating flood risk and pollution. Staff are considering the suitability of this grant
as part of its infrastructure planning.
Climate change and coastal hazards grants are available, including three current grants that
Council has been successfully awarded for coastal monitoring, beach access design and
