PLANNING & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 9 DECEMBER 2014

5. CONCLUSION
The proposed open space use conflicts with the site’s Rural Settlement zoning provisions under
The Noosa Plan but does not raise significant planning concerns. It is considered that the
following grounds are sufficient to support the development, despite the conflicts with The Noosa
Plan:
 The development is an expansion of an existing approved golf course within the Rural
      Settlement zone.
 The golf course requires a large site that generally necessitates a rural setting.
 The development will not have significant adverse impacts on the amenity of existing
residents or the existing rural character of the area.

The application is recommended for approval, subject to conditions.
