PLANNING & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 9 DECEMBER 2014

For the remaining years of the 5 year period, all categories identified above are proposed by
Energex to increase by 2% per annum.

The LGAQ, in partnership with Local Buy, have participated in a series of consultation sessions
with Energex and the AER in the lead up to the submission of Energex's regulatory proposal.
Throughout this engagement process, collective representations have highlighted the impacts of
high street lighting costs upon Councils. These representations have also expressed a strong
desire for a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to be established.

Discussions with Energex concerning a SLA are in the preliminary stages, and the LGAQ is
continuing to work with both Energex and the AER to ensure a SLA is established.

The AER will publish its draft determination in April 2015. The above noted decreases / increases
are subject to the AER's assessment and approval of Energex's proposal and will be treated as
indicative for budgeting purposes.
