and Commercial Charges – period ending 10 July 2016
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Not applicable.
RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Property Officer to the Planning & Organisation Committee
Meeting dated 9 December 2014 and:
A. Set fees and charges for Noosa Holiday Parks to align with the cessation of June/July 2016
Queensland school holidays; and
B. Adopt the Proposed General Cost Recovery Fees and Commercial Charges for Noosa
Holiday Parks for the period ending 10 July 2016 as detailed in Attachment 1 to report.
REPORT
Currently fees and charges for Noosa Holiday Parks (the Parks) are set until the end of the
summer peak season being 26 January 2016. These arrangements do not facilitate forward
bookings after this date due to a misalignment with Council’s annual budget process which sets
annual fees and charges.
It is proposed that:
Fees and charges are set until the end of the June/July 2016 school holidays.
Fees are correspondingly increased for the six month period 26 January 2016 to 30 June
2016.
These changes will permit fees and charges to be assessed in accordance with the normal
Council budget process. It is further proposed these fees and charges are set a minimum of 12
months in advance to allow patrons to pre book sites.
New fees and charges
The following fees and charges are proposed to be reintroduced so that park managers are able
to charge for additional use which has not been captured as per an existing booking. The intent
of the additional charges is to ameliorate additional expenses for cleaning and maintenance of
the park and facilities:
