SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 9 APRIL 2019
Ordinary Meeting Minutes, 20 April 2017, Item 6, Page 7
That Council note the report by the Property Officer to the Services & Organisation Committee
Meeting dated 11 April 2017 and
A. Set fees and charges for the North Shore Beachfront Campground to align with the
cessation of the July 2018 Queensland school holidays;
B. Adopt the Proposed Commercial Charges Schedule for the Noosa North Shore Beachfront
Campground for the period ending 16 July 2018 as detailed in the tables contained within
the report; and
C. Authorise the Chief Executive Officer to enter into an extension to the current management
agreement with Beachfront Caravan Park Pty Ltd for 10 months commencing 1 August
2017.
Finance
The draft Noosa North Shore Campground 2019/20 budget includes costs in relation to
management of the site.
Risks & Opportunities
Extension of the management agreement allows campground operations to continue without a
break in service continuity during the campground redevelopment by allowing the Manager to
provide site security, accept bookings and manage enquiries to ensure that revenue is
maximised when the campgrounds reopen at the commencement of the 2019 Christmas school
holiday period.
A full tender for the provision of management services is proposed to be undertaken at the
cessation of the 2019/20 Christmas school holiday period.
Extension of the management agreement aligns with Theme 5 of Council’s Corporate Plan –
Excellence as a Council – Maximise financial opportunities for Council land holding for the
purpose of maximising non-rate revenue.
