Structural Details.

Structural Drawings
GENERAL

1. At all stages of construction including wall construction, slab preparation, concrete pouring
and roofing, whole or partly constructed house elements must be fully supported against all
short or long term loads such as wind loading, self weight material, construction equipment,
building materials and construction personnel against failure or distortion of structural
elements. Adequate care must be taken to protect construction and other personnel against

injury.

2. The structural elements have been drawn to approximate scales but sizing should not be
done by scaling off the structural drawings, the architectural drawing should be consulted for
this purpose — the structural design is my interpretation of the architectural drawings.

3, These drawings do not contain details of damp proofing, moisture barriers or termite
protection. These details should be incorporated into the structure to the relevant, current
Australian Standards, Local Authority requirements and Building Code of Australia.

4 All tradesmen should be appropriately qualified and their workmanship shall comply with
the relevant, current Australian Standards, Local Authority requirements and the Building
Code of Australia.

STEELWORK

1. Unless noted otherwise, steelwork including steel beams, steel brackets, rods, bolts, nuts,
washers, screws, nails etc shall be hot-dip galvanized or coated with an approved hot-applied
zinc-alume treatment.

2. All site welding and/or damage to the protective coating shall be cleaned back and re-coated
with an approved protection system. A protective system or remedial work shall be first
approved by the engineer before commencing.

3. In exposed areas or where specified on the drawings metal fixings shall be stainless steel
grade 304.
