TIMBER SPECIFICATION

All timber and connections must comply with Residential Timber Framed Construction Code
AS1684.2 requirements and relevant proprietary timber manuals.

Note: Where fixings are not shown nominal fixings as per AS1 684.2 table 9.4 (Nominal
Fixings for Timber Members) are recommended.

All exposed timbers must be CCA treated or paint protected. All bracing walls must be
anchored to upper roof/floor and to lower floor diaphragms, with an appropriate anchoring
system as recommended per the AS1684.2 manual.

Custom made laminated beams must be installed as per manufacturer’s specifications.

FOOTINGS Refer to footings and retaining wall design where
appropriate - separate notes attached.

WATERPROOFING. Waterproofing shall be as per Building Code of Australia.

TERMITE CONTROL. Termite control as per AS3660.1 — Protection of Buildings from
Subterranean Termites.
