Monitoring

Monitoring must be undertaken and records kept of contaminant releases to waters from the
discharge location for the quality characteristics and not less frequently than specified in Table 5:
Contaminant Release Limits to Water. All determinations of the quality of contaminants
released must be:

1. made in accordance with methods prescribed in the latest edition of the administering
authority's Monitoring and Sampling Manual;

2. carried out on samples that are representative of the discharge; and

3. frequency of samples to be taken in accordance with written procedures.

Quality Characteristics of Release of Contaminants to Waters from Beach Nourishment
Area.

The deposition of dredge material on the beach nourishment areas must not result in a visible
plume twenty five (25) metres from the point of entry of the wastewater runoff (condition 3-G3 of
this environmental authority provides a definition of ‘beach nourishment area’ for this schedule).

 

Quality Characteristics of Release of Contaminants to Waters from Dredging Area.

The generation of a plume from the dredging of material at the dredging area must not result in
a visible plume thirty (30) metres from the point of suction of the dredge material (condition 3-G2
of this environmental authority provides a definition of ‘dredging area’ for this schedule).
