The Proposed addition is confined between the lower section of the building on the left and the upper section of
the building on the right. Only the garden bed containing small palms to be removed.

The proposed extension is to be fully supported on the existing piers and the new external wall is to be set back
approximately 1m from the corner of the lower section.


Appearance:
As the addition is to be set wholly between the existing lower & upper parts of the building and set back
approximately 1m from the end of the building it does not add significant bulk to appearance even when viewed
from within the site directly beside the building. (See Image 1 above.)

The Upper and lower roof is to be connected in the same line as the existing stairwell at the centre of the
building so there will be no increase in the existing building height or change in roof line.

The building is well screened by existing trees and vegetation both within the property and outside the property.
