Apdx4 - Services Advice Notice - BOS
• Unitywater does not require an independent property sewerage connection for the
proposed single storey residence and anticipates that connection to the property
sewerage connection of the existing dwelling will occur. Should a second property
sewerage connection be required, a design in accordance with the requirements of
the South-East Queensland Water Supply and Sewerage Design and Construction
Code (SEQ WS&S D&C Code) must be submitted with the above standard
connection application. All costs for the installation of any additional property
sewerage connection will be at the applicant’s expense.
• Unitywater does require individual water meter connections for Dual Occupancy
dwellings. As a component of the above standard connection application process,
provide a site plan that clearly indicates the preferred location of the new water meter
for the proposed single storey residence. This will be referred to Unitywater’s Private
Works team to produce a price on application quotation for the installation of the
new water meter.
• All water supply and sewerage works must be designed and constructed in
accordance with the South-East Queensland Water Supply and Sewerage Design
and Construction Code, Unitywater’s Connections Administration Manual and any
other matter Unitywater considers to be relevant to the connection or supply of its
water services or wastewater services.
• Payment of Levied Charges (Infrastructure Charges) will be required in accordance
with Unitywater’s Infrastructure Charges for water supply and sewerage. The
Infrastructure Charges are calculated as a component of the Connection Application
assessment process and as such the applicant will be required to provide as part of
any connection application satisfactory evidence as to the extent and lawfulness of
any claim for a credit for an existing or previous use no longer taking place or a credit
for a past contribution or charge on the site.

• Details of Unitywater’s existing infrastructure can be found on Unitywater’s website
(via interactive mapping) at https://www.unitywater.com/building-and-
developing/reference-library. As a cross-reference, it is advised that an as
constructed house drainage plan is obtained from Noosa Shire Council to identify
the location of any existing sewerage property connection.
Build Over Asset requirements:
• Unitywater generally does permit construction over gravity sewerage reticulation
assets provided the applicant can demonstrate compliance with the following
requirements:
o Pre and post construction CCTV surveys are generally required
o The applicant must demonstrate a minimum of 1.0m clearance from any part
of any property sewerage connection.
