Seqwater also formally requests a 50% reduction in the applicable MCU application fees under the Noosa Council Fees and Charges 2025–2026 subsidy for Community, Sporting and Religious Organisations. The subject site is owned by Noosa Council and is located within the Recreation and Open Space Zone under the Noosa Plan 2020. The Lake Macdonald Rowing Club is a not-for-profit community organisation, is limited in scale (with a maximum of nine (9) rowers on site at any one time), and the use will have a minimal physical footprint, comprising a single, lightweight, relocatable shipping container for equipment storage. Accordingly, the development is code assessable and does not trigger referral to any advice or concurrence agency under Schedule 10 of the Planning Regulation 2017.
