right of anyone to cast a line, kill a wild sea animal and leave a tangle of nylon line and strewn
bait bags when they decamp. However | believe that all recreational activities do not have to
be covered in drawing tourist demographics to the region. In fact declaring a Manne Sanctuary
may have a distinct advantage in the class and wealth of people drawn to the region. Many
locals, and holiday-makers love to take a stroll on the beach, watch the sea birds scouting for
dinner, catch some dolphins at play, watch the sunset, take a surf, take an extreme fitness
angle (which is the growth area) not take out sea life for their own short-term satiation. The
local dolphin family which still ply our waters and the pair of sea eagles at North Sunshine
Beach, and the nesting pair of Brahmin kites at Little Cove do not have the capacity to shimmy
up to the Junction of an afternoon to pick up dinner from Coles. A Marine Sanctuary would
align very nicely with the whole ethos surrounding a world Surfing Reserve and the Noosa
Biosphere projects.

Retaining our natural environment by purchasing bush land for protection from development.
Invest in social housing for the homeless.
13/09/2020 | Economic and environmental sustainability. Community resilience in these uncertain times is
absolutely vital to building and maintaining happy, healthy communities. To do this we need to
work together to maintain the balance between protecting our environment and lifestyle and
ensuring we have business and economic diversification to support our population. Education,
innovation and collaboration is key.
13/09/2020 | Sustainability- projects and spend that have an environmental, social AND economic return, ie
upgrades (such as conversion to solar) that result in a facility having lower operational and
natives results in much lower maint. Costs if it doesn't have to be constantly mowed, weed
sprayed etc
Road duplication and widening to ease traffic issues. Especially travelling north to south ie.
Beckman’s Road duplication. Think about a plan for Hastings St traffic and parking.

hire a contractor to remove their rubbish to the tip. There are details that need to be considered
but | understand that only a small fraction of residents of the Noosa Shire put out rubbish at the
annual kerbside clean up. It could possibly save council money.
