9/09/2020 | councillors wages need to be reacessed and reduced. the funds for these salleries arrive from
people having to go to work. the jobs the people have for a big percetage of the population, will
never equal what councillors get. how can councillors equate this, i have never seen a
councillor darken my door step in the time i have live in this shire. people have to strugle to
work, find work, where their sallaries are decided for them. yet we have no choice what
exhorbitant rates you get as councillors. it really amazes me that a few golden people in our
society, ones whom claim they work for us, are able to select their own salary. and councillors
think that is ok. yet when we make a point it is completely ignored. we have three levels of
government in this country, all have their heads in the trough. we have no choice of how much
Day and conditions councilors get. that is repulsive.
CHARGING US THE TOURISM LEVY
Environment levy for adaptation against climate change and to mitigate the impacts of climate
change in the shire

the ocean and river systems for unrestrained, unself-regulated, unsustainable, recreational
fishing practices. Research could be funded to see what fish species are left in our waters and
the relationship these species have on the health of the entire ecosystem and other species
dependent on their survival - for example; dolphins, sea eagles, brahmin kites, albatrosses and
migrating terns. In the endless drive for Tourism numbers this beautiful region will increasingly
be overrun by day-tnipping fishermen, and spear-fishermen, from the extended Brisbane region,
and cashed-up amateurs utilising local fishing charter operations. In combination, all viable
species of sea-life are being decimated from local waters, reefs and river systems. Solid
environmental research would undoubtably propose that all of Noosa's Oceanic, Reef and
River systems be classified as No-Take Zones, allowing the aquatic ecosystem to recover its
integrity and function . Articles have indicated that the Noosa River's underwater landscape is
an environmental nightmare of snagged fishing lines and tackle. You may counter that its the
