GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 OCTOBER 2020
28/09/2020 | Improvements to the Noosa Foreshore. Substantial improvements are needed to bring this
area up to the standard the community and visitors deserve. The Noosaville Foreshore Land
Use Master Plan developed in 2017-18 was a good start and identified some improvements
desired by the community, but there is so much more that could be done. This could be a worid
class area if it was made a focus of Council over the next few years. As well as making it more
attractive for locals and the community, it would also attract some visitor attention away from
Hastings Street, easing some of the traffic and parking issues there. In the short term, areas of
the lawns and grass need replacing, new and better facilities are required (toilets, BBQ shelters
etc), and better lighting needs to be installed.

that tows tounsts from one end of Hastings St to the spit etc. adding an element of toursty fun
as well as lowering congestion.
