PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 DECEMBER 2018
The new areas include:
a flexible function/entertainment/promotional/industrial area of 253m² currently part of the
Industrial business;
to use and roof the existing 46m² outdoor area to the north of the building; and
A 16m² children’s playground beneath the water tank sign on the corner Venture Drive and
Vision Court.
These changes result in 299m² of additional use area, resulting in a total use area for the
Entertainment and Dining Business of 419m². This excludes the retail sales area which is currently
being used and shown hatched in grey near the tasting area in Figure 1 above.
Flexible function space
The area proposed to be used as a flexible function space currently forms part of the industrial
business floor area. The applicant seeks to utilise this area temporarily while unoccupied by
industrial equipment. The applicant indicates that over time and in response to growing demand
for product, further fermenters, vats, canning, packaging and other production equipment will be
accommodated in this area.
This means that until such time as the industrial business grows, the applicant seeks to use this
area for Entertainment and Dining purposes. The applicant has provided Concept Staging Plans
for Future Operations, which provides some indication of the use of the flexible function area in the
future. Figure 2 below shows staging to 2020 and Figure 3 shows the future bottling and canning
area.
