5. Noosa North Shore Beach Campground Waste Water Treatment System
The wastewater treatment system (WWTS) was installed as part of the 2020 campground
refurbishment project. A number of issues have been identified with the operation of the WWTS
which pose commercial, environmental, operational and compliance risk to Council. Council has
implemented a precautionary cyclical waste water pump out schedule while Council works to
resolve the broader system issues. The system is being monitored by Council’s Plumbing Branch
and contractual advice has been sought on future actions.
