INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 25 FEBRUARY 2014

Heritage Levy reserve balances transferred from Sunshine Coast Council were not available at
the time of writing this report, but the annual revenue recovered from the Levy is estimated at
$149,000.

It is recommended that in the Expression of Interest all other costs above the fixed Council
contribution of relocating and refurbishing the Cottage be met by the interested community group
and that the way in which the groups plan to meet these costs be detailed as part of the EOI
application.

The EOI process is a matter of urgency to minimise costs associated with retaining the building
at a temporary location, such as barrier fencing hire, and any costs associated with deterioration
of the building.

Risks
A risk to the Cottage is the deterioration of the building over time if it remains on the existing site
with no permanent location or use being found, or inclusion in any maintenance program.
