4.0 ACCESS & ROADWORKS
The attached Drawing No. C6361/22/P02-04 included within Appendix B shows the
proposed access arrangement for the development site.
Access to new allotments will be taken from the existing private road ‘Triller Court’.
Proposed Lot 9 is to be a ‘battle axe’ allotment. A new residential crossover will be
constructed to service Lot 9 in accordance with IPWEA Standard Drawings RS-049 and RS-
050.
It is proposed to provide a minor extension to the existing Triller Court road pavement in
order to provide suitable access for residents, QFES vehicles and Councils waste collection
vehicle.
Due to existing and proposed residential crossovers accessing Lots 2 & 3 on SP320405, it
is proposed to retain the existing cul-de-sac head and construct a new cul-de-sac head
with 9.0m radius to allow larger service vehicles to enter and exit the site in a forward
gear.
The existing access and services easement currently registered over the private road
‘Triller Court’ will be extended to include the additional access handle area and cul-de-sac
head.
In accordance the SARA advice notice dated 10th March 2022 (reference number 2202-
27336), minor upgrade works are required at the newly constructed intersection of Triller
Court and Reserve Street to the east of the site. A basic right turn treatment (BAR) and
basic left turn treatment (BAL) will be provided at the eastern boundary of the site to
allow through traffic to safely pass a vehicle entering the site.
