The Motorcycle/Scooter Sales and Repair has operated from the site since 2013 and is considered an undefined by use by the Noosa Plan. The application is before Council, due to the proposal being undefined in the Noosa Plan. The motorcycle/scooter repair component is consistent with the intended uses for the medium impact zone, but the retails sales component is not intended for the area. Notwithstanding this, the retail component is complementary to the motorcycle/scooter repair business, will operate in association with and will not compromise the site and surrounding area from the intended predominant industrial activities and is therefore recommended for approval. The application was previously considered by Council at General Committee on 13 December 2021 when Caretaker’s Accommodation was proposed to be included. The applicant stopped the current period under the Planning Act 2016 before the application was decided. The applicant resubmitted a new site and floor plan on 24 May 2022, removing the Caretaker’s Accommodation from the proposal. Page 45 of 83
