4 CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
▪ The development site is not affected by flooding from any source however there are several
existing overland flow paths which run through the site.
▪ The Bruce Highway Hydraulic Analysis prepared by GHD for DTMR indicates that the highway
has safe egress in all rainfall events up to the 1% AEP with overtopping only expected in the
PMPDF. In the event of this extremely rare flooding safe egress is available along the Bruce
Highway in a northerly direction.
▪ The Legal Point of Discharge for the Site is to the existing creek/gully at the rear of the site
▪ Stormwater quality management is proposed, given the site is above the 2500 m 2 threshold in
the State Planning Policy SPP Code: Water Quality.
▪ The development would need to implement a flow control / detention strategy to mitigate the
possible runoff increase generated by the works.
▪ A detailed Erosion and Sediment Control Plan would be required to be implemented for
construction.
▪ The vegetated and sloping nature of the site suggests the use of swales to maximize amenity
and environmental sustainability
