Finance
The exact cost to deliver the Christmas and Easter Free Holiday Buses initiative is not available
until approval and quotes are obtained from TransLink and Sunbus. (In the past it has taken
between 3–8 weeks to obtain the Free Holiday Buses quote from TransLink). An indicative
amount can be estimated based on Christmas 2013/14 and Easter 2014 with a 10% increase to
account for potential increased costs. There is currently no official information regarding a fare
increase but according to a TransLink customer service operator, as occurred on 6 January
2014, there is likely to be another 7.5% fare increase in 2015.
